Commissioned by Edinburgh University Law Department and in collaboration with Sofia Nakou, this short film attempts to create a simultaneously metaphorical and physical statue dedicated to Sophia Jex-Blake, an acdemic and activist who fought for the representation of women in medicine and academia. Many people over the years have tried to commemorate in stone, thus far unsuccessfully. This aims to fill this gap and create a piece of work that explores and narrates the vision and actions of this important historical figure.
